The first educational institution of CFIC in India
St. Mary’s college turned to be the first educational institution of CFIC in India when it was officially inaugurated by district collector of Malappuram, Shri. James Varghese IAS, in a public meeting presided over by Bishop of Thamarasseri, Mar Jacob Thoomkuzhi, on 17th June 1996.Initially the college offered Pre- Degree courses (pvt) and in the succeeding years the institution marked its presence with private studies in BA History, BA Economics, Bsc Maths, BA English and B.com. Sr. Udaya (CMC) of first batch secured first rank in BA History. In the academic year 2005-2006,the college became an off campus centre of MG University and in 2010 the campus was affiliated to the University of Calicut.
Many students have obtained ranks in various streams and the recent achiever is Sreelakshmi B as she bagged first rank in MA English in 2016-18.
